Playing Downtown

As an entertainment destination, Jackson Street is already the home of US Airways Center and Chase Field. It is a short walk from Symphony Hall, the Herberger Theater, the Orpheum Theatre, the Dodge Theatre, museums and many galleries. Jackson Street's 450,000 square feet of entertainment and retail space will supplement these popular attractions with a diverse range of live music venues, restaurants and clubs, as well as an art house cinema. These amenities will not only provide entertainment for Jackson Street residents, but also support nearby university populations, downtown businesses and tourists.

The Jackson Street District Plan's urban planning approach acknowledges the need for human-scale design, interaction and authenticity while embracing an eclectic mix of uses, activities, street elements and architectural styles. It is the blueprint for a new kind of urban environment, offering the possibility of diverse encounters: a place where new voices, new ideas and a vibrant community can flourish and grow.
